Accra, Ghana – August 2024 — The National Investment Quiz Competition, an inspiring initiative spearheaded by the Young Investors Network and proudly supported by the Ghana Stock Exchange and Central Securities Depository, has once again captivated the nation’s students with its engaging and educational format. Formerly known as the Capital Market Quiz Competition, this prestigious event has been a beacon of financial literacy and investment knowledge since its inception in 2014.
With a remarkable impact on over 50,000 students to date, the competition has not only fostered a deeper understanding of the capital markets but has also paved the way for numerous participants to secure positions in esteemed local and international firms.
This year’s regional contests, held across seven regions, showcased the talent and enthusiasm of Ghana’s senior high school students. The competitive spirit and dedication of the participants were evident as they vied for a place in the highly anticipated national finals.
The excitement now builds as these regional winners, along with the top-performing schools from the remaining regions, prepare to converge at the University of Ghana Business School for the National Investment Quiz Competition. A total of 40 schools will compete in the national finals, aiming to claim the coveted title and demonstrate their mastery of investment principles and financial literacy.
The national finals promise to be a thrilling conclusion to this year’s competition. The event will not only celebrate the students’ achievements but will also continue to highlight the importance of financial education and investment knowledge for the future leaders of Ghana.
